Costing Manager, Beyond Yoga
<h2><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b></h2><p>Beyond Yoga is a luxury athletic and lifestyle clothing brand rooted in the belief that you deserve to look and feel amazing whether you're headed to the studio or staying in. Quality, inclusivity, and attention to detail aren't just catch phrases for us, we apply them to everything we do inside the company walls and out.</p><p></p><p>Beyond Yoga's product development team is growing and looking for a full-time <b><span>Costing Manager</span></b><br /> </p><p>We are looking for an experienced Costing Manager that will be responsible for daily deliverables of costing and negotiating for the Beyond Yoga seasonal collections. This includes creating new processes, driving efficiencies with existing processes. They will report to the VP of Sourcing and Manufacturing and maintain constant communication about costing, margins and deadlines. This person must demonstrate significant knowledge of the performance and lifestyle knits as well as comprehensive understanding of garment manufacturing.<br /> </p><p><b> What you'll do:</b></p><ul><li>Work collectively with product development, production and merchandising on costing</li><li>Negotiate labor costs with contractors to maximize margin and profitability</li><li>Travel to local contractors to review samples and discuss construction as it relates to labor costs</li><li>Communicate with product development, technical design and production any opportunities for cost reduction related to garment construction</li><li>Cultivate new relationships as well as maintain existing relationships with local contractors</li><li>Partner with Freight Forwarder / Broker as needed to obtain duty rates and transportation fees</li><li>Create cost sheets in RLM (estimate and final)</li><li>Create and maintain seasonal cost logs</li><li>Send seasonal estimate costing and margin report</li><li>Work closely with merchandising to establish wholesale and retail prices</li><li>Coordinate with marking and grading for yields of new bodies each season</li><li>Upload yields to RLM BOM and Quickbase</li><li>Update projection files with yields and organizing style data as planning provides updates</li><li>Attend meetings and be prepared to discuss all outstanding issues and status of costing against deadlines<br /> </li></ul><p><b><span>Who you are:</span></b></p><ul><li>A degree in apparel manufacturing is a plus</li><li>5+ year experience in costing and negotiating</li><li>Experience working with domestic and offshore factories</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Dropbox and ERP systems (RLM)</li><li>Microsoft Office skills a must.</li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a strong attention to detail</li><li>Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>Highly organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, and able to prioritize multiple task</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Problem analysis and problem solving</li><li>Must have a can-do attitude and strong work ethic</li></ul><p></p><p>We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
